Burnt at Both Ends Candle Apothecary Shop

What makes these candles sustainable?

Our vegan candles are made with coconut soy wax and wood wicks, so that they burn with less soot. This is better for your lungs and the earth. The cork lids are entirely biodegradeable. Plus the sleek, ceramic jars are re-usable or returnable!

What do I do with the herbs/stones in my candle?

For safety reasons, it is best to remove all items from your candle and trim the wick to at least 1/4 inch before burning. However, if you choose to burn the candle without removing these items, they tend to just sink into the wax. In any case, candles should always be burned within eyesight and away from easily flammable items and drafts.

What do these descriptions on my candle labels mean?

We're glad you asked! The first pair of words are the prominent notes in the candle. The second pair of words are aromatherapeutic and/or majickal properties associated with the oils used in your candle. You can find out more about these by exploring our social media posts and each detailed candle description in the shop.

Do you recycle jars?

Yes! Just reach out to let me know you would like to return a jar, and I will send a coupon for your next order!

How can I reuse my jars?

Once emptied and cleaned, jars may be reused for potting plants, drinkware, pencil-holders, and more! A seeded paper heart is included with every purchase.

Do you have a brick and mortar location?

Not yet! Right now, we sell our candles online and at vendor markets in the midwest and eastern United States. Want to know when we're popping up near you? Check our Instagram!
